i do think it could be good to implement a tutorial. i can imagine it is a bit intimidating to join tumblr when all you’re used to is tiktok, insta, twitter etc. eventually people figure it out on their own but a bit of support wouldn’t hurt! just. don’t change the entire platform to try and appease these confused newbies

this reminds me of when i went to nerd middle school where we did little science projects and for one project me and my group were the only ones who chose the biology project instead of the geography project. for our project we had to study the ground. the soil. a part of that was worms. we collected some worms from the local park and had to look at them from under a microscope and determine what species of worm they were. the problem with worms is that they're quite wiggly little guys so the worms had to be sedated. i i'm pretty sure we did this by dropping them in alcohol?? at first it made them only more wiggly but eventually they calmed down. it looked quite dramatic but the effects weren't permanent!! my classmates watched in horror though. they said we were murdering worms. they really hated us that day lmao. we freed the worms in the backyard after we were done. the worms were fine. except one that we accidentally punched with a shovel he got a nice burial rest in peace little worm
